Well, your problem is the
switch (yybgin-yysvec-1) { /* witchcraft */
at the beginning of lex rules. "witchcraft" == "non-portable". It's
assuming knowledge of the AT&T lex's internal variables.
For flex, you can probably do the equivalent using a switch on YYSTATE.
